Dear Colleague,
We are currently in the midst of planning our 3rd annual Healing and Treating Trauma, Addictions and Related Disorders Conference and are extremely excited to be hosting this conference for the first time in the province of Alberta. The three-day conference is scheduled to take place in Edmonton on November 28, 29, and 30, 2012. Whether you are coming for the first time or attend this conference every year, we would like to extend a warm welcome!
We at Jack Hirose and Associates are honored to co-sponsor Canada's Premier Psychotherapy Conference once again with Edgewood Treatment Centre. Edgewood is an internationally renowned private addictions treatment centre, located on Vancouver Island and Canada's leader in alcohol and drug treatment. Edgewood is committed to providing quality continuing education training opportunities, and we are extremely grateful to have aligned with a treatment program that adopts similar objectives and values.
During the past ten years we have asked for your suggestions for topics, speakers and conference format. We incorporated your ideas and assembled North Amerca's leading experts who will provide practical, useful and cutting edge keynotes and workshops. Our stellar lineup of presenters will present on a wide range of topics including: mindfulness and intimacy, combat stress, neurobiology of acute PTSD, spirituality and recovery, healing the wounds of abuse, sex and addiction, hostility and aggression, psychodynamics of loneliness, neurobiology of early child abuse, breathing "soul" back into psychotherapy, wisdom and compassion in psychotherapy, love in the time of Twitter, stress and our well being, anxiety and relationships and much more.
It is our hope that the conference will allow you to catch up with your fellow clinicians, aquire new skills/techniques and rejuvenate yourself. Mark this event on your calendar. We are confident that this conference will meet or exceed your expectations. We look forward to seeing you at our flagship event of the year.
Regards,
Jack Hirose
